We are pleased to announce that the University of Nova Gorica has been awarded the LGBT Friendly Certification, which confirms our commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all. This certificate, awarded by the City of Ljubljana, recognises our commitment to equality and non-discrimination and encourages us to continue our work in this area.
Tina Šček Krušec, Equal Opportunities Coordinator, emphasised that “At the University of Nova Gorica, we believe that every person should be accepted as they are and that they should have the right to a safe and respectful environment, regardless of their personal circumstances. This certificate is not only a recognition of our efforts to date, but also a commitment to continue to work towards ensuring equality and respect for all. We invite all students, colleagues and the wider community to join our efforts to create an inclusive university, including by supporting the LGBTIQ community through awareness raising and open dialogue.”
