This week (20-24 November 2023) as part of the Animation Hub, the WORKSHOP ON NARRATIVE EXPERIMENT IN ANIMATED FILM was held at the University of Nova Gorica School of Arts, led by the world-renowned creator of animated films Dahee Jeong (South Korea).
Attendees had the unique opportunity to hear first-hand about Jeong’s creative process and learn how to transform metaphors and poetry into extraordinary and powerful visuals.
Dahee Jeong already made a name for herself with her debut film “Man on the Chair” (2014), which was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival and won the Crystal Grand Prix at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Dahee Jeong also presented the film “Movements” (2019) at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival. She is a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is a lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication Design at Hongik University.
