Invitation to the exhibition of student works at the Academy of Arts!
As is tradition, we gather twice a year to celebrate the culmination of our semesters, exploring the world of creativity our students have embarked upon. The exhibition spaces of the Academy will come to life on Thursday, May 30th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, showcasing the inspiring works of our students.
Opening Thursday, May 30th at 6:00 PM, Academy of Arts, Vipavska 13, Rožna Dolina, Nova Gorica.
At the exhibition, there will be short live-action and animated films, individual and group photographic series, innovative new media projects, spatial installations, and the results of creative workshops with visiting mentors. Additionally, we will also present some completed and ongoing bachelor’s projects.
The end of the year will be especially unique due to our participation at numerous international festivals, events and collaborations.
In early June, a group of students and mentors will be representing the Academy at the renowned ANIMAFEST International Animated Film Festival in Zagreb, where Anja Resman’s master’s film Beyond the Faceis among the films in the competition program. We will also be present at the KINO OTOK International Film Festival with a screening from the Reflections exhibition, along with two students who have been selected for the ‘Video on the Beach’ programme.
Mid-June brings even more creative activities. Some students will be zbriši creating at the FESTANČA International Animated Film Festival in Žilina, Slovakia, while simultaneously, seven students will participate in three workshops in Girona: Playful Technologies, Illustration, and Performative in Public Space.
In September, for the fourth time, we will be exhibiting at the ARS ELECTRONICA festival by special invitation with the exhibition Look me in the eye – the time is now!. Forthe third time, we will co-host an international stop-motion animation workshop at the STOPTRIK festival in Maribor.
