Join legendary filmmaker Želimir Žilnik for an immersive workshop exploring the art of docufiction, a hybrid genre that blends documentary and fictional storytelling techniques. With a career spanning over five decades, Žilnik is celebrated for his innovative approach to social commentary, using docufiction to engage with pressing political, cultural, and personal issues. In this hands-on workshop, participants will delve into the conceptual and practical aspects of docufiction filmmaking. Želimir Žilnik is the 2024 Honorary Doctorate Recipient of the University of Nova Gorica.
Entry level: Basic knowledge in film language and equipment
