On Friday, November 8, 2024, the Slovenska kinoteka hosted the official award ceremony of the Društvo slovenskega animiranega filma (DSAF), in celebration of International Animation Day. During the event, the DSAF 2024 awards were presented, including both professional and student awards. Our students Anja Resman and Brina Fekonja were honored with the student awards for their outstanding achievements in the field of animation.

DSAF Award for Best Completed Student Animated Film 2024 was presented to Anja Resman for her film Onkraj obraza. Created in collaboration with the Academy of Arts at the University of Nova Gorica, Zavod Spok, Zavod ZVVIKS, Tramal Films, Antitalent, and RTV Slovenia, the film is made using the puppet stop-motion technique and explores the theme of masks on human faces. The jury awarded the prize primarily for the film’s exceptional execution, including its meticulously crafted set design, outstanding cinematography, and excellent collaboration with experienced professionals in other roles.
