26th International Festival of Contemporary Art Practices
Nova Gorica / Gorica, 13 – 23 November 2025
The 26th edition of the Pixxelpoint International Festival of Contemporary Art Practices turns the twin cities of Nova Gorica and Gorizia into a living laboratory of art, science, and technology. “Resonating Realities in the Fourth Space” brings together more than 60 artists and collectives from over 30 countries to explore how meaning can be rebuilt in a fragmented world — through cooperation between humans, machines, and ecosystems.
Conceived by Benjamin Gruner, Francesco Scarel, Katarina Podobnik, and pETER Purg, Professor of New Media at the Academy of Arts, University of Nova Gorica, festival invites audiences to enter the Fourth Space — a both imaginative and situated dimension beyond technological isolation, where new entanglements of art, science and technology activism reinvent the social.
Pixxelpoint 2025 challenges how we perceive technology, identity, and the environment, reawakening a sense of the world’s shared rhythm in transition.
The festival programme features immersive and site-specific exhibitions across both sides of the border, performative walks and pop-up situations, a palette of DJ propositions and cross-media concerts, complemented by workshops on artificial intelligence and gaming, plus a two-day symposium.

Our New Media students will take part in three workshops this year, which will take place at Xcenter in Nova Gorica.

Pixxelpoint 2025 is produced by Kulturni dom Nova Gorica and GO!2025, and co-produced by numerous partners from the broader cross-border region and Europe at large, including cultural, academic, and artistic institutions jointly rethinking the relationships between art, science, and society.
