Last weekend, the Association of Slovenian Animated Film (DSAF) celebrated the Days of Animated Film in Škofijelo’s Cinema Sora, during which DSAF staff and student awards were presented. The Saša Dobrila Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Field of Animated Film 2023 was awarded to Marjan Manček, and this year, for the first time, the DSAF Award for Special Contribution in the Field of Animated Film 2023 was awarded to Matija Šturm, the first president of DSAF, now the association’s secretary and an active representative of the advocacy of the animated sector in film initiatives in Slovenia and internationally.
Among all the winners, we are especially proud of two our students:
DSAF Award for Study Animated Project in Development: Arachnophobia, Melita Sandrin and
DSAF Special Mention for a study animation project in development: Cycle Fragments, Tamara Taskova
